Dr. Youssef Ismaïli: "Hachem Amzil is a Role Model for Young Artists"

It is with immense pride that I write these words in honor of the talented and brilliant calligraphy artist, my brother Hachem Amzil, who, through his exceptional talent and ever-renewed creativity, has succeeded in transforming the Arabic letter into works vibrant with life and beauty.

The creativity of artist Hachem was evident during our continuous collaboration and coordination in organizing numerous events with the Moroccan Association of Calligraphy Arts. The most notable among them are the exhibition 'Aesthetic Manifestations' in 2018 and 2019 at ICESCO, and the exhibition held on the occasion of the 8th Islamic Conference of Environment Ministers, which had the honor of welcoming Her Royal Highness Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, President of the Royal Scientific Society of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Also included is the exhibition 'Artistic Paintings of Moroccan Works on Prophetic Traditions' in 2022.

Through these practical and artistic experiences with the young artist Hachem, I was able to observe his remarkable skills in communication and interpersonal relations, in addition to his responsiveness and sense of organization and execution for these artistic activities. He successfully coordinated with the artists, collected the data, and prepared the print layouts, while directly supervising the hanging of the artworks and explaining them to visitors.

He has successfully blended authenticity and modernity, preserving the spirit of the rich heritage of Arabic calligraphy while adding a contemporary touch that reflects refined taste and a perceptive artistic vision.

His works are not merely lines and ornaments, but visual messages conveying values of identity and beauty. They affirm that Arabic calligraphy is always capable of surprising, renewing itself, and innovating at any time and in any place.

I testify that his efforts and contributions deserve our full appreciation. He is a role model for young artists.
