Hachem Amzil's participation in “The Miracle of Qur’an – International Islamic Calligraphy Art Exhibition” in Indonesia

  • From October 11 to 18, 2025, the city of Kendari, in the province of Sulawesi Tenggara (Indonesia), hosted one of the world’s largest events dedicated to Islamic calligraphy: “The Miracle of Qur’an – International Islamic Calligraphy Art Exhibition.”
    Organized by the Islamic Art Exhibition Indonesia and the Islamic Culture Centre, this artistic event brought together more than 200 artists from 50 countries, celebrating the richness and diversity of contemporary Islamic calligraphy.

A tribute to art and spirituality

Curated by Gori Yusuf Husen, the exhibition highlighted the beauty and depth of Islamic calligraphy, considered a major form of artistic and spiritual expression.

According to the curator, "Islamic calligraphy is not merely a visual art,capturing the essence of Quranic verses and the depth of the spiritual journey of the Muslim community."

An Exceptional Artistic Program

The event stood out for its rich and diverse program, which included:

  • An international exhibition bringing together more than 200 calligraphic artists;

  • An international seminar on Islamic calligraphy;

  • Live performances, collective workshops, a coloring competition, an art auction, and a virtual exhibition accessible to the public.

A Space for Dialogue and Inspiration

The exhibition also aimed to inspire younger generations and strengthen the connection between art, faith, and culture. By highlighting the creativity and diversity of calligraphic expressions, it built a bridge between the artistic traditions of the Muslim world and contemporary approaches.

A Well-Deserved Recognition

Hachem Amzil’s participation in this prestigious event confirmed the strength and relevance of his artistic vision — combining technical mastery, symbolic depth, and intercultural openness.
His work is part of a continuous exploration in which calligraphy becomes a universal language, carrying meaning, beauty, and spirituality.

A remarkable participation

Hachem Amzil was among the artists selected for this prestigious event. His works, inspired by Arabic tradition and reinterpreted through a contemporary approach, drew great interest from both the public and art critics.
His artistic expression stands out for its balance between spirituality, modernity, and aesthetic exploration, offering a poetic reading of the sacred text — where each letter becomes light, rhythm, and a symbol of universality.
This participation marks a significant milestone in his international artistic journey, reaffirming the uniqueness of his creative vision and his ability to engage in dialogue with calligraphic expressions from around the world.
