Artist Hachem Amzil executes certain calligraphic operations according to a plastic approach, with fluidity and ease, and through formulations with multiple artistic pathways. His works thus reveal themselves imbued with aesthetics that establish optimal artistic meaning. By diversifying the calligraphic material and transforming it into a personal project according to his own artistic visions and in line with the demands of contemporary calligraphic art—which requires renewal and modernization—he explores multiple expressive aspects. He creates interactions between the calligraphic material, his plastic intentions, and the themes he addresses, bridging aesthetic formulas with artistic pathways.
In doing so, he frees himself from the characteristics that define his calligraphic journey and place him in a specific category. This liberation gives him the power of diversity and renewal, offering his work a reflective space conducive to multiple levels of interpretation. It also allows the discernment of certain directions with multiple artistic intentions. The reflection consists of engaging with his artistic worlds, experiencing the interactive rhythm offered by the movements of the letters and their symphony, aimed at contemporary artistic components. This is conveyed in his works through the meticulous use of various artistic expressions intertwined with Arabic letters in layered and diverse forms. It creates a broad space for unique dimensions to release creative energy, assigning the letter a different kinetic space, the form an untapped artistic space, and the color a creative function that harmonizes with the contemporary calligraphic path.
This approach requires advanced techniques to articulate the artistic domain in its diversity and profound aspects, relying heavily on both references—the calligraphic and the plastic—and addressing them with the goal he seeks to achieve through a creative path aligned with his concepts and ideas. It also adapts to the expressive artistic material that aspires to calligraphic renewal and interacts with developments in plastic arts within its calligraphic contexts. All of this occurs with extreme fluidity and ease, thanks to his mastery of both materials: the calligraphic and the plastic.
This leads to a calligraphic eloquence that is revealed to the viewer solely through visual perception, demonstrating his creative capacity and expertise in merging calligraphic and plastic materials into an alliance that harmonizes with various expressive forms. This enriches his artistic domain and results in the creation of aesthetic values connected to both calligraphy and plastic composition, so that his works are imbued with a set of unique artistic characteristics, allusions, and signs, often reflecting his strong connection to both materials simultaneously, from an artistic perspective. In this way, he can draw inspiration from plastic elements for all the foundations upon which he constructs the calligraphic process, generating meanings and connotations.
Among the aesthetics of this approach is his ability to control dual space, forcefully using movement, masses, and varied compositions in a way that reinforces the artistic direction of his works. The various calligraphic operations follow an artistic path with an aesthetic impulse and foundational value. There is no doubt that the viewer perceives all of this up close, observing the interplay of form, calligraphy, and color in an interaction where different aesthetics manifest within an organized artistic system, while also revealing the most important aspects of calligraphic beauty in his artistic formulas. This holds significant importance in contemporary plastic composition. In this context, we perceive in his works a kind of artistic balance, through which each viewer can perceive the harmony and fusion of all calligraphic and plastic expressions, accompanied by a distinct aesthetic vision.
In another context, and within the framework of the aesthetic diversity that the creator seeks, he creates a meticulous calligraphic space that integrates a number of meanings and connotations, resulting from the dialectical interaction between stable heritage components and the dynamic creative process, which relies on the flow of letters in artistic forms that embody freedom within space, interspersed with aesthetic shapes in their multiple formulas, which Hachem Amzil presents within an enchanting aesthetic framework.

He can also perceive the subordination of color, form, and letter in the service of content, as these elements provide constructive and semantic functions, while the artwork requires characteristics and aesthetics that captivate the creative space. From this perspective, the creator Hachem Amzil demonstrates the creative renewal of his techniques and an artistic vision rooted in Arabic authenticity and inspired by contemporary art for his new methods. He also borrows certain artistic components from contemporary plastic composition, adding a touch of beauty, so that his artistic sense manifests in distribution and harmony, in movement, artistic intersections, symbolic abbreviations, and the connection between different expressions.
All of this renders his works rich with allusions and signs. Through legitimizing a culture of expression via artistic duality, he aims to create a contemporary calligraphic language, where the domain of concealment diminishes and the expressive and conceptual artistic value of the Arabic letter prevails. This reflects a heightened awareness of the calligraphic material and its artistic demands, which form the core of contemporary artwork.
